Westwinds is a five-storey building located in downtown, Squamish on Third Avenue, behind the Chieftain Centre.

With 232 affordable rental homes for low to moderate income seniors.

Residents have access to a range of amenities, including a fitness area, multi-purpose common areas and storage space for personal items, bicycles and scooters.

Everything is within walking distance, groceries, drug store, medical services and shops.

We have 360 degree mountain views and a courtyard with 28 garden plots, bocce court, barbeque area and a gathering spot with a gazebo and gas fireplace.

 

Westwinds is home to an active and engaged community of seniors who thrive in their diverse range of interests, passions, hobbies or games.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR RESIDENCY?

Seniors 55 years or older that fall within our income and assets thresholds.

Must be able to live independently. There are no medical staff on the premises.

Must pass screening, which includes reference checks and income screening.

Applicants that pass screening will be kept on file and will be reviewed as units become available. Financial need as well as the social need of each applicant is taken into consideration.

Must be a resident of B.C. for a period of one full year prior to being accepted for residency. Preference given to residents of Squamish and the Sea to Sky Corridor.
